Your role

We’re seeking a proactive HR Specialist with a strong focus on recruitment to join our international team. You’ll own the hiring processes in both Finland and Germany, while also supporting broader HR initiatives that enhance engagement and culture.

In this full-time, hybrid role (approx. 12-month parental leave cover), you'll be our sole HR professional, working closely with leadership, team leads, and employees across departments. The role is based in either Hamburg or Helsinki and requires travel to some extent.

What you’ll do:

Recruitment:

• Lead end-to-end hiring processes in the Finnish and German markets.
• Manage sourcing, headhunting, interviewing, and offer coordination.
• Oversee onboarding and offboarding processes.

Employee Engagement:

• Support employee satisfaction and retention efforts.
• Run engagement surveys and analyze feedback to guide improvements.
• Organize team events and activities with the internal event committee.

Employee Relations:

• Serve as the go-to person for employee concerns or feedback.
• Foster positive employee relations across the organization.

Talent Development:

• Create and support Performance Success Plans (PSPs).
• Ensure growth and development opportunities are supported.

Culture Development:

• Promote our values and company culture through internal initiatives.
• Support team-building and inclusion efforts.
• Help advance diversity, equity, and belonging across the team.

A few qualities we're looking for in our ideal candidate:

• 2+ years of experience in a similar HR role, with a focus on recruitment.
• Fluency in English and German or Finnish.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Self-starter who takes initiative and works well independently.
• Organized and results-driven with a hands-on, can-do attitude.

Bonus points for:

• Experience in sourcing/headhunting talent.
• Background in international or fast-paced startup environments.
